One Month into 2026 and the Momentum Behind Mayor Chaz Molder’s Campaign for Congress Continues to Grow

Molder leads all opponents in fundraising and hires two senior staff.

COLUMBIA, TN: One month into 2026 and momentum is growing for Candidate for U.S. Congress and Mayor of Columbia, Tennessee, Chaz Molder. Molder leads the charge, raising the most in Q4 and reporting the highest cash on hand of all candidates running for Tennessee’s Fifth Congressional District. Molder outraised Republican incumbent Andy Ogles with $412,743 to Ogles’ $151,367 and maintains a 15 to 1 cash on hand advantage.

In just five months since Mayor Molder launched his campaign, his campaign has raised over $1.2 million dollars, as further evidence that his campaign is building a coalition of resources and people that will position him for success.

Additionally, Molder announces bringing on two senior staff to launch the campaign into the next phase:

Jasmine Singh will be serving as Campaign Manager. Originally from Houston, Texas, Jasmine has worked in campaign management, political fundraising, and voter outreach across the South, including in Texas, Virginia, Alabama, and now Tennessee.

Sam Williams will be serving as Political Director. A Nashville native, Sam previously worked as an attorney and has experience with political fundraising and voter outreach in local and national politics before returning home to serve in this senior role.

“I am so excited to be kicking off this next phase of the campaign,” Mayor Molder said. “Our team is growing and our numbers are further evidence of what I hear across this district on a daily basis: people in this district are ready for a change – they want a Congressman who will focus on the issues that actually matter to them, and that’s where our focus will remain. I am as confident as ever that we can win this race.”
