Teamsters Rail Conference and Plumbers and Pipefitters UA Local 572 Endorse Mayor Chaz Molder In His Bid For Tennessee’s Fifth Congressional District

COLUMBIA, TN: Today, candidate for U.S. Congress and Mayor of Columbia, Tennessee, Chaz Molder announced the endorsements of the Teamsters Rail Conference and the Plumbers and Pipefitters UA Local 572 for his bid for Tennessee’s Fifth Congressional District.

The Teamsters Rail Conference represents more than 70,000 rail employees in the United States who work as locomotive engineers, trainmen and maintenance of way workers on the five major freight railroads, Amtrak and numerous commuter rail systems and short lines. Plumbers and Pipefitters UA Local 572 represents over 2,200 workers in Middle Tennessee.

Jeff Joines, Government Affairs Director for the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employes Division of the Teamsters Rail Conference:

“The Teamsters Rail Conference is proud to endorse Chaz Molder for Congress. Chaz has shown a clear commitment to fighting for good paying jobs that allow working people to provide for their families. We know that he will be the ally we need in Washington, especially at this time when rail workers and working families need one most. Andy Ogles has let us down – as prices continue to rise, we trust that Chaz Molder will fight for our members to ensure their safety and financial stability.”

Will Johnson, Business Manager, Plumbers and Pipefitters UA Local 572:

“The Plumbers and Pipefitters are proud to endorse Chaz Molder for Congress. We represent over 2,200 members in Middle Tennessee who deserve an ally in Washington who will stand with working people, protect good union jobs, and hold corporations accountable. Chaz Molder has earned our trust and support and we believe he will fight every day for the dignity, safety, and economic security of America’s workers unlike Andy Ogles, who has repeatedly failed to stand up for working people.”

“I’m proud to stand with the members of the Teamsters Rail Conference and Plumbers and Pipefitters UA Local 572,” said Mayor Chaz Molder. “I’m running for Congress to lower costs and fight for our workers and their families, and I won’t stop until we deliver real results for the working people of this district.”
